BA (Hons) Graphic Design

Graphic Design is a highly creative subject and is far more than just visual style. It is about problem solving and communication.

At Hull School of Art and Design there are many creative opportunities for visual experimentation and students are encouraged to develop their own interests and strengths.

Typography, photography, printmaking and industry relevant software skills are core subjects taught by experienced staff who are all professional designers. The quality of work produced on the programme has achieved national recognition through competition success including the Design & Art Direction (D&AD) Student Awards, Royal Society of Arts (RSA) Student Awards, Starpack Packaging Student Awards and Young Creative Network (YCN).

Contacts with industry are strong and work experience is encouraged. With continuing demand for Hull students both locally and nationally our BA (Hons) Graphic Design can lead to a variety of roles within the creative industries and some graduates use their degree to enter teaching or for further study. All applicants are invited for interview to talk through their portfolio, tour the building and meet staff and students.
