Working with HSAD

Hull School of Art & Design is always very excited to work with external agencies

It’s important that we remind collaborators that the student experience is the focus of our considerations when entering into agreements.

Unfortunately we don’t work with third parties for free! But there are a number of areas as part of the partnership we would expect third parties to agree too (more than one):

Marketing & PR

Recognition of the Hull School of Art & Design in press, promotional literature or through social media delivered by the agent. Evidence based.

Student recognition

Recognition of the student success story in the press, promotional literature or through social media delivered by the agent. Evidence based.

The experience

Clients can add a valuable real life professional experience to the student design process by being present to deliver a brief, attend a critique midway through the project whilst delivering individual feedback and personally attending the final presentations with a contribution to the assessment.

Financial contribution

Students projects can be a valuable asset to the industry. Clients may choose to make a financial contribution to the student fund.

If you’re interested in working on a live project with our undergraduates please get in touch with an outline of your project proposal and we will be happy to discuss the project with you. Email projects@hsad.ac.uk

Our undergraduates have recently engaged in creative projects with:

Hull 2017 / BBC / Hull City Council / Stagecoach UK / Armitage Shanks / Hull Truck / Bob & Roberta Smith / House of Fraser / Hull Minster / Freedom Festival 2017 / Salt Architects / NPS / Trident / Michael Meyers / Henry Moore Institute / ABP / G.F. Smith

“Digital Design & Development HSAD students have been tremendous – incredible communications, enthusiastic, organised, creative and not afraid to chase me if I am slow in providing requested information. The key word is “professional” – I have worked with many groups of students over the years and this group must be the most professional of all. They have taken the brief very seriously indeed and because of their awareness of the newest technology I am confident that I will receive a well-designed, up-to-date, conforming to brief, solid and future proof submission from the groups.”

David Keel, Joint Managing Director, Trident
