Humber Street SESH 2017

Working with artists Debi Keable and Isabelle Tracy, current 2nd year Graphic Design students Mason Cook and Laura Jones; along with recent graduates Ambrose Brown and Paige Jones have developed a range of typographic neon light installations that were presented at this year’s Humber Street SESH.

The work produced formed part of the main stage at the event.

Debi Keable tells us

“I’m currently part of a new mentoring scheme / residency programme ‘Light Lab’. Which is a part of ‘Light Up The North Network’ – 7 Northern Light festivals collaborating and supporting emerging artists. Light Night Leeds nominated me to participate. 7 of us artists have been on 2 week long residencies at the home of Blackpool Illuminations – Light Works”.

“This new work emerged as a result of this programme. ‘LOVE WILL WIN IN THE END’ was a message I wanted to put out there and thought Humber Street SESH to be a fitting place for this to be shown.

The ‘Happy Hour’ lyrics was a special request from the event organiser and director Mak”.
